Leadership Development Programme - Funded Places for BME and/or Male Teachers

20-Oct-2016

We are pleased to announce that the Teachers Leadership Development Programme that we ran last November, in partnership with the Birmingham Nursery Schools Teaching Schools Alliance, will be running again in January 2017.

The DfE is once again providing full-funding to support 10 BME (Black Minority Ethnic) and/or male teachers to complete the course, in order to develop and diversity the leadership profile across the sector.

(Please note that funded places are only available for teachers who identify as BME or male and will be prioritised for those working in the early years.)

This postgraduate leadership programme is for ambitious teachers who wish to develop their leadership skills and confidence in order to gain promotion.

The programme aims to provide participants with a variety of tools, theories, knowledge, skills and confidence.

While leadership of practice excellence is central, there will also be a strong focus on developing participant confidence in order that they have the personal capacity and capability to become the next generation of leaders.

Teachers who do not meet the funding criteria may still join the course for a fee of £950, which includes academic accreditation (60 PG credits).

To find out more about the course, including what you will do, course dates and information about how to apply, please download the flyer on the right:

Applications should be received no later than 9:00 AM on Monday 5th December 2016.
