Upcoming Teacher Training Events

Despite currently being unable to host in-person meetings and events at our office and training base in Birmingham, we remain fully committed to introducing ourselves, our values and our programme to prospective primary trainee teachers and respond to any questions.

We will, therefore, be hosting a Virtual Teacher Training Information Day event on Friday 12th June – if you are considering a career in teaching, particularly if you would like to work with young children, please book your hourly slot for a one-to-one with the SCITT Programme Lead and get all your questions answered.

The CREC Early Years Partnership (CEYP) School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme offers a one-year full-time school-based route to qualification as a Primary Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through a specialist Early Years Route.

Our programme enables and supports trainees to become committed, confident and reflective teachers, with the ability to respond to the challenges of the profession and impact positively on children's capacity to learn. Through a carefully co-constructed programme, we offer efficient personalised support to trainees, recognising and building on the skills and expertise of individuals.

Full details of our SCITT course can be found at www.earlyyearsteachertraining.co.uk including information about finance, course entry requirements, and the application process for 2020/21. We particularly encourage you to visit the Frequently Asked Question page and our SCITT blog for the latest updates on the programme.

If you wish to be notified about all things SCITT, including additional open days and events, you can follow @CREC_SCITT on Twitter or join our mailing list .
