St THOMAS CHILDREN'S CENTRE

CREC is located on the third floor of the St Thomas Centre, a multi-agency building serving the Ladywood district of Birmingham.

In addition to CREC, the building houses:

-   The St Thomas Children's Centre : an 'Outstanding' (Ofsted 2010 | 2011) children's centre, run by Birmingham City Council.

The centre is part of a Cluster Group along with
3 other local centres in Birmingham , that aim to offer families all the services and support they may need.


- The St Thomas Centre Nursery School and Daycare : an 'Outstanding' ( Ofsted 2013 | 2014 ) nursery school, offering high quality education and childcare for children from birth to five years.




- James Brindley School : a school for children and young people aged 2 – 19, who are in hospital or unable to attend mainstream school due to their medical conditions or special educational needs


    - Ladywood & Edgbaston Community Midwives Team : antenatal and post natal clinics
    are held at St Thomas Children’s Centre by a team of midwives.
 

   - Family Nurse Partnership : a programme of intensive support, advice and
   information given to young, first-time mothers living in Birmingham. 



 - Ladywood Safeguarding Hub : safeguarding children and young people means
 keeping them safe from neglect and abuse.  Any one who comes into contact with
 children and families has a responsibility to safeguard and promote their welfare.
 
 
 

- WM Housing Group:  owns and manages more than 30,000 properties across the West Midlands, and offers a range of tenure homes for rent, full and part ownership.
 
Working with 6 partner organisations to deliver Care & Supported Housing Services across the West Midlands.
