Why train with us?

The Warwickshire Early Years Hub (WEYH) link with CREC to provide a School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme with QTS. From September 2024 the WEYH & CREC partnership will be working with Teach First.

Teach First is a charity that develops teachers and school leaders and supports schools facing the toughest challenges. They have been training teachers for 20 years and are the largest Initial Teacher Training provider in the country. With CREC as a delivery partner, their offer now includes a specialist early childhood route into teaching in the West Midlands, with school partners across Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire.

The programme provides a one-year full-time school-based route to becoming a teacher with an early years or early primary specialism and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Anyone interested in joining WEYH/CREC and the Teach First partnership to start their teacher training in September 2024 can find out more at https://warwickshireeyh.co.uk/itt/ or www.crec.co.uk/itt.

Applications are made through the DfE ‘Apply’ portal using the course code 2MZV.
