Our 2022-23 fees were £2268 per 60 credits - fees for 2023-24 have yet to be confirmed by BCU but we anticipate a slight uplift on this figure in line with inflation. Applicants should be working in a suitable professional role and either an undergraduate degree or comparable professional experience and an ability to engage in level 7 study.
Course Information
+ Who is this course aimed at?
It is designed for Early Years practitioners to wishing to build upon and dvelop their own practice or service and present through becoming a reflexive, practitioner researcher capable of assessing, evidencing and analysing early childhood approaches in their own contexts.
This MA is constructed as follows:
Year 1 - Reflexive practice - Understanding your journey, your prior experiences, your positionality in relation to your own area of work and/or interests through a range of critical lenses.
Year 2 - either - Research methods or - International policy or practice comparison
In both cases you will learn appropriate methods of research design, data collection and analysis and the opportunity to put them into action through a focussed project. Should you wish to undertake an international comparison CREC can facilitate connections with suitable contacts abroad through its networks.
Year 3 - Dissertation - allowing you to focus deeply on a subject of importance to you and your practice
