Evaluation and improvement with EEL and BEEL

Last week, Nursery World magazine has published an article about Quality Assurance, where the CREC programmes EEL and BEEL got a great review.

EEL and BEEL, developed by Professor Chris Pascal, Professor Tony Bertram and Maureen Saunders (Programme Manager at CREC) has the intention of empowering and developing practitioners. Both programmes are based on observation methods pioneered by Professor Ferre Laevers from Leuven University in Belgium. Professor Laevers observed how young children regularly become absorbed in what they are doing and believed that an involved child is gaining a deep, motivated, intense and long term learning experience.
